Shine Your Light

It’s been a little while since I have posted to my blog friends and it’s certainly been on my mind. I am still in the midst of processing the loss of our sweet cat, Pumpkin, but in the mean time I encourage you to meditate on this quote and here a few of my thoughts.

“Don’t envy someone else’s gift. Discover your own.”– Tavis Smiley

I truly believe that everyone on this wonderful earth has a gift, talent, and treasure within them. I believe sometimes we can get caught up in what someone else is doing, then fall into comparisons or envy, and then find ourselves feeling inadequate or over doing “it” to be like someone else. If you find yourself in this space of envy remind yourself that it is an indication that your perspective is off and to refocus on YOU. I believe that the flip side of envy is admiration of someone else’s light, and more specifically that they shine when doing something that they love. I know that when you are in that space others will be attracted to YOUR light that you give off and will use that as inspiration to find their light. So I encourage you to shine my friends and don’t forget that your light may be what people in your life need to guide their way out of envy, darkness, or fear.

Keep on reaching for your peak!
